"I just want to feel better."

If you are here, chances are you are searching for a way to improve your health.  This may mean that you are experiencing chronic pain, or it could be that you suffer from anxiety.  Whatever your reason...welcome!

Research has shown that bodywork has positive effects on both our physical and emotional well-being.  And now, more than ever, we need more balance in our lives.

Incorporating massage therapy as part of your wellness regimen can have powerful effects on your overall health.

How can massage therapy help me?

Massage for Pain Management

Both acute and chronic pain can benefit from regular bodywork. Massage therapy can:

  • Alleviate low-back pain and improve range of motion
  • Relax and soften tight, tired, and overused muscles
  • Increase joint flexibility
  • Pump oxygen and nutrients into tissues and vital organs, improving circulation
  • Reduce spasms and cramping
  • Relieve headaches and migraine pain
  • Enhance immunity by stimulating lymph flow—the body’s natural defense system

Massage for Stress and Anxiety

The emotional balance bodywork provides can often be just as vital and valuable as the more tangible physical benefits. Massage therapy can:

  • Decrease anxiety and stress
  • Stimulate the secretion of serotonin, dopamine and oxytocin - three powerful feel-good hormones
  • Release endorphins, the body's natural pain-killer
  • Improve energy levels
  • Promote better, more restful sleep

Covid-19 Safety

  • I am in compliance with all CDC and Maryland state guidelines as far as Covid-19 safety.
  • In Baltimore County, massage therapists and clients are no longer required to wear face masks during massage therapy sessions. In my private practice I will defer to my clients' comfort level with regard to face masks because I understand and respect that it is a deeply personal decision.
  • If you are exhibiting any signs of illness specific to Covid-19, feel you may be getting sick, or have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for Covid-19 in last 14 days, I ask that you please reschedule.
  • I have received both doses of the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine. I do not require clients to be vaccinated in order to receive services.
  • I clean and disinfect all surfaces after each client using a CDC approved disinfectant, and launder all sheets and linens after every client.
  •  I screen all clients before their sessions and have them fill out a Covid-19 addendum in addition to the health intake form.
  • And finally, I take care of myself.  We will all get through this if we stay safe and take care of ourselves and each other.
